We were going through some pictures and came across a couple I can't help but add to our Blog. Elizabeth had never been in a sailboat in her life before she moved aboard our last sailboat Decisive ...a 37 ft. Ketch and then there was our son Daniel....as seen here in the v-berth... he came straight from the hospital to the boat!!

It became real clear that we needed to replace our Holding Tank. It was leaking for sure so we had it removed and ordered another one from Island Packet. They now line the inside with epoxy so it holds up better over the years. We plan on having new Dometic odorrsafe hose put in at the same time. Be glad to get it done so we can put the boat back together again down below.....but is winter in TN and I have another project to complete with water system from Hot water heater yet to complete.
I love our boat but even though she is in great shape for a 1990 Island Packet there is much to do to get her ready for heading down the river and out to the Gulf of Mexico for some good cruising.....especially with family aboard. I know it took lots of time....man hours both mine and others....oh yea...money to...to get our Soveral 37 Ketch in great shape when we sailed up to TN from south Florida...so shouldn't be a big surprise. Even with my long To Do List there will be things we won't get to until Florida and others that come up along the way.
Decisive underway Charlotte Harbor, FL
Leaving Port Charlotte and heading for Pelican Bay.
Brisa having her bottom done. The bottom looked good so we did a good sanding before we put two coats of Interlux Ultra.....new Zinc. This will hopefully last for 3-4 years..especially considering we won't hit salt water for another 12 months.

Working on the To Do list this Spring....making good progress. Having trouble stopping a leak in the hot water system....may just need to replace the fitting pictured here. Just need to find the place to get one. The other pictures are of the davits with the 85 watt solar panel and it's wiring to the batteries. The cockpit enclosure was made by folk's in St. Augustine, FL.

Finished removing the starboard rub rail....cleaning out all the old caulking....repairing any of the screw holes in the teak that needed it and re-caulking. Replaced rub rail ....came out great....tight , clean fit. Now on to replacing all the safety glass on each of the ports along with the rubber gaskets and screens. Look forward to warm weather and getting out on the water between projects getting her ready to head south!!
