The Journey itself is just as Important as the Destination!!

As of Labor day weekend we have officially moved aboard Brisa. The transition to living aboard is going to be on going for awhile. We got a small storage space near the marina so we can continue to sort through what.....(and where??) things we still have for the boat can go.....what needs to be donated etc. or what will make the trip down to Florida via the car at the end of the month. At the same time I continue to work on the To Do List as the days count down to departure. While all this is going on we had three new things added to the list unexpectedly.....the battery charger was replaced......the refrigeration stopped working and when checking all instruments on board the wind instrument is not working properly  Charger is installed....working on refrigeration.....new unit or can we fix the old??? I think the wind instrument may just be a connection that got disturbed when we had the mast down replacing rigging etc. We shall see. The owner/staff at Blue Springs have been great to work with considering the time line etc. We have been trying to keep as much as we can on the list to be done when we get to Florida.....but some things just can't wait. We plan on leaving the dock and heading down river the first of October........more to come soon ....
